Let it Yo Let it Yo Let it Yo

Even though it's still 80 degrees some days we are officially into our winter hours at delisheeeYo. Open 11 to 7 Monday to Saturday and 12 to 6 on Sunday. New cooler weather menu items are in production, such as the Buddah Bowl...a daily steamed grain and legume combo served simply with a dollup of virgin coconut oil, a scattering of nuts and a little touch of green. Our famous Veggie Chili will be replacing the Cuban Black Bean (it really does need to get a little colder though) in the next weeks. Other cool happenings...our web site is almost done and it's sooo fun. Mad Monkey Media Designs in Charlotte is putting the last touches on the site and this blog will then be merged with the new webbeee. We can't wait! And month delisheeeYo will be sharing a full page ad in Bon Appetite Magazine...yes...Bon Appetite! Cause we're a conscious businesses featuring local products we were asked to be a part of Hilton Head's annual marketing blitz through the prestigious magazine (what? 300,000 circulation!!) So check out the December issue and look for a little photo of yours truly holding up a cup a Yo. Though the weather outside is...well...amazing...the Yo is still ablazing...let it Yo let it Yo let it Yo!

Berry Bomb!!

If you like strawberries,,,really good strawberries...not Florida hot house nuclear jumbos or California hybrids that look great but don't have any substance...get into delisheeeYo in the next weeks for some local delishiousness. Chef C and pal TKKeith spent the day in Dempsey's glorious strawberry path on St. Helena's island, just a stones throw across the water pickin' some local grown goodness to grace our frozen yo. I made shortcake that night. Yom. Get in here!!

Crazy for Coconut

If you haven't tuned into the goodness of coconut yet now is the time. We have a rippin' selection of coco products for sale at delisheeeYo including the much sought after Vita Coco Water; in 2 flavors. The Vita product is great but even better is the fresh water straight from the nut and we have those too; Green Thai Coconuts loaded with super hydrating natural coconut water (unpasturized). Part of the fun of the whole nuts is watching us hack into one...actually we have a cool tool that does a slick job. And when the water is gone you can spoon out the soft pearly white coconut meat and use that for any number of cooking or body care jobs. And and and...we have raw Coconut Chips for cooking and home topping your yo to go, Virgin Coconut Oil in 32 oz and 4 oz sampler containers. If you haven't used this amazing oil yet you are in for a delight. The flavor and texture are simply lovely. If none of that appeals we also have unscented coco Soap made with virgin oil and unscented Lip Balm all at great prices. Get in Here!

mangos are back...

After a short hiatus from our favorite tropical fruit I am happy to report that we have mangos again. Not sure what was going on, but for awhile they were just funky, small, and impossible to ripen without rotting. I know some of you have had that experience with mangos before too. Even after 35 years of professional cheffing I still don't quite know why that sometimes happens. But I have been keeping a close eye on the market and the past Monday found a nice little box of good lookin' 'goes which are ripening beautifully. Get in Here!
