We have been ALL KINDS OF BUSY!

I think it's fairly safe to say the the shop is a huge hit here in Hilton Head. Maybe there really are enough people who crave something truly healthy out there on this wee island after all!

So it's been crazy! And I can promise this... before tonight is over, I will run out of the beloved strawberries that are consistently the top requested ingredient here. If it weren't Saturday (turnover day here on the island) I'd pop out to the store... but all the folks just coming into town are very busy shopping at every local store in preparation for their week-long timeshare stay.

S'okay. I have plenty of incredible fruit here...lots of local and organic choices today.

Folks are finding us through Yelp and this little blog. And for those of you savvy enough to be sleuthing out the good stuff on the web, thanks for digging past the chain stores and the usual place to find the little healthy oasis that awaits you here!

We love hearing that you all can't wait to come back! It's like building a probiotic family!

New Combo Alert!

If you are reading this, you most likely have been in the best darn Tart Frozen Yogurt Shop (and only tart frozen yogurt shop) on Hilton Head Island.

We make our chocolate sauces here in-house. One of the benefits to that is having the extra Ghiradelli Chocolate Chips in a large jar to put on the yo.

Had a regular in and she got the Ghiradelli's, unsweetened organic coconut and the decadent Callebaut White Chocolate Pearls...

It's hot out, and maybe classy looking yogurt isn't speaking to you.. I understand. We have some killer limeade today as well as carrot pineapple juice!

Tomorrow is Omm Sunday... all yoga practitioners get a discount. And so do all body workers!

We are proudly serving our community one yo at a time!

Today we have a local yoga instructor filming her "Hip Yoga" class in the shop for a local station. We are shutting down for a few 10 minute increments while they film. We have 3 yoga mats, 1 camera guy named Matt and of course Vicky the instructor.

Another fun milestone!

Now just over 6 weeks old!

The vibe has been fabulous in here, with folks from all over coming in day after day raving about this wee little frozen yogurt shop we have going! Seeing people happy makes us happy!

Fresh juicing biz really starting to take off... we are juicing to order.. whatever we have is fresh and ready! We are also the only place for quite a few miles to have kombucha. And THAT is spreading like wildfire! We are having people come from all over the island to get their komboo fix!

We have added a bunch of specials each day of the week to take care of most segments the population here.

Come in, check it out!

you know what?

The other day about a half hour after we opened..

A young lady came in and said," I have been thinking about my yogurt and what toppings to have since I woke up!"

With smiles on our faces I happily got her the combination that she longed for... and off she went.

And it struck me.. this yogurt really is that good!

Today one of my fave couples came in.. and they have been very faithful since we opened..they really mixed it up and got totally different combos!

And I thought we should post some of the delish combos!

Superfood Trifecta
goji berries, coconut, cacao nibs

And "The Jerrod"
crystalized ginger, coconut and white chocolate pearls

Both have coconut.. which is one of my fave ingredients because it freezes up and gets crunchy!

There is no bad combo... if you pick flavors you love... it will be delisheee YO!

What's the best marketing?

We believe the best marketing is to churn out a delicious product.

Aside from that, we are looking at how to maximize a small amount of $$ towards marketing.

Social media?
Postcards?
Printed ads?
A free llama with every purchase? (not really)

What does it really take in today's economy to get people who aren't really looking around to take notice of something healthy and yummy?

These are some of the questions we are tossing around this afternoon at the shop.

Geez, if anyone was reading this blog, I'd ask for feedback! However... we are so new.. I dunno if ANYONE is even knowing of it's existence!

It's looking really good in here and it's a cool 78 degrees. A nice refuge from the heat! Not to mention we have the coolest healthiest treats on Hilton Head!

Have I mentioned that before? I am so sure I have..

Today we have the ripest strawberries I have ever seen! And some of the most beautiful raspberries on the island!

Both of those with some blueberries on top of some of our Delisheee Yo and you basically have an red white and blue extravaganza!

We are doing a Food and Beverage Employee Appreciation Day every Monday. Offering a dollar off each prepared item! Next up is figuring out what day to do public service employee day... teachers, police/fire, city clerks...everyone! We want to show we care, and give healthy treats to those who work so hard every day to make this community what it is.

Momentum.

We are building it over here! We got our "Frequent Fly-yo" cards as well as kombucha club cards in! We have a wall plastered full already!

It's really amazing to see how excited people are when they try the yo for the first time are! And, it's very gratifying to have folks from California or NY or other big hip metropolian areas come thru and say that this is the coolest spot with the best healthy treats on Hilton Head!

Thanks to you all who have come through and shared your joy at finding the place! And thanks for calling all of your friends and telling them you just found the best new thing on the island! I swear we had at least a dozen people in the other day who had been told to get right over here as it was not to be missed! That feels good.. Chef C the owner, had this vision, made this vision a reality and it's taking off!

And the way we know it's hitting the right cord is your feedback when you come in the shop. Your smiles and enthusiasm fuel our excitement about what's going on and it's contagious! We love to feed you healthy treats.

Happy 4th of July weekend!

We are serving up the most delicious treats here.. rain or shine! We got the festive goin' on inside.. and are hoping you find us for the tart yogurt extravaganza that awaits!

The Yelp.com addition should help folks find us, and that's a good thing!

We have been doing some serious fresh juices too..

Cantalope,pineapple, cucumber, ginger is a real hit!

And the watermelon/pineapple is super summery!

We are still figuring out how to give the folks in Hilton Head the hours they need, so we are trying 11am to 9pm M-Sat. And Sundays 1pm to 9.

If you just had the biggest BBQ feast... we are the perfect dessert to compliment!

Remember, our yogurt has live cultures!
